Microgrants

In March 2021 we celebrated our 7th anniversary, and we decided to do something a little different: Give out some money! We’re so excited to announce the Pop Fashion Microgrant recipients.

While we originally planned to choose two grantees, we were overwhelmed by our listeners’ talent, creativity, interests, and goals. (We also had a few anonymous parties who generously wanted to kick in additional funds.) So it’s fitting that we ended up with seven recipients to celebrate our 7th year. Meet our grantees below!

Pop Fashion is giving out two $250 microgrants: one to a student and one to a professional.

As we celebrate our 7th year in podcasting, we’re feeling grateful for the generosity of our listeners. From ratings and reviews, to word-of-mouth recommendations, to “Coffee’s on me!” contributions, you’ve come through for us, year over year, to make this show something we’re proud to return to each week.

We’re also grateful to be in a place where we can give back to our listeners. We’re thrilled to introduce microgrants for those looking to further their education or workplace training — in whatever form that may take.

Over the years, we’ve noticed how many of our listeners are involved in the fields of fashion, retail, design, and content creation, whether as a college student, young professional, or someone looking to change industries. Obtaining what you need to progress in your studies or work can be challenging, whether you need to buy textbooks, want to attend an online class, or wish you could get your resume professionally reviewed.

This spring, we’ll be awarding two microgrants in the amount of $250 each. One will go to a student and one will go to someone who isn’t in school but is striving to grow in their career.

Applications open on Monday, March 15, 2021 and close on Friday, April 16, 2021. Recipients will be determined by your Pop Fashion hosts and will be announced in early May.

Fill out the short application below to be considered — that’s all there is to it. We’re so excited to learn about your work and help you achieve your goals.

The legalese: You must be a United States resident age 18 or older. Funds will be disbursed via Venmo, Paypal or Zelle, with accommodations made if the recipients don’t use any of those platforms.
